Terms of Service

Last updated: August 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Provenance, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Provenance provides lease management software that helps commercial property owners maintain a permanent record of lease facts, source documents, and derived obligations. The service includes document upload, AI extraction assistance, verification workflows, obligation calculations, and export tools.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, to upload malicious files, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts, or to interfere with the service's operation.

5. Data Ownership

The organization that creates a Provenance workspace retains ownership of its lease data, documents, and facts. Provenance acts as a processor of that data in order to provide the service.

6. Subscription and Billing

Provenance is offered on a subscription basis based on the number of leases under management. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time; changes take effect at the next billing cycle.

7. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Provenance reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within a reasonable time.

8. Limitation of Liability

Provenance is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Provenance is not a substitute for legal, accounting, or property management advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Provenance's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
